We are proud to offer Civil Ceremonies either in the historic Quex House with a magnificent carved staircase and oak panelling or under our stunning Victorian style Gazebo with a backdrop of our beautifully landscaped 15 acre gardens of informal wooded parkland, herbaceous borders and generous lawns. 

We only hold one wedding a day so if weather does not permit for an outdoor ceremony our indoor options are always available.  Your day will be perfect whatever the weather.

The dining room is also licensed if your wedding party is too large to fit in the Grand Hall.

On the day

Prepare for your day in style in the elegant ‘Roberts Room’. There is plenty of space for you and your attendants to relax and get ready for the special day in this regency style brides dressing room. A wedding co-ordinator will be on hand throughout the day, greeting you on arrival and helping you to keep on schedule so the day runs smoothly.


Photographic opportunities at Quex Park provide a selection of unique backdrops which are both fascinating and dramatic. No country house would be complete without extensive gardens and Quex is no exception with acres of beautiful, informal gardens available including lawns, herbaceous boarders, ponds, a croquet lawn and a Victorian walled garden.

Quex House is situated next to the Powell-Cotton Museum which houses a world class collection of natural history. The African Gallery is available to hire for your drinks reception and is quite a talking point for children and adults alike. A peal of 12 bells from the Waterloo Tower may be rung if you desire. As we are nestled within this large country estate it allows us the luxury to be able to have fireworks - what a perfect way to finish the night.

Registrar services are supplied by Kent County Council, when you have made your booking with us we will place the initial booking with your details. As with any venue from this point, for legal reasons, you will deal with the registrar direct. The charge for their services is not included in our prices.

We have a talented cake team and would be delighted to work with you to create your perfect cake. Your cake will be made and designed to your specification.   Please book an appointment to come in and try some cake as well as talk through your ideas.  We make all of our cakes with the finest ingredients including butter and free range eggs.  Our sponge cakes are all triple layered and are available in the following flavours:

  • Vanilla Sponge – filled with Vanilla bean buttercream & raspberry conserve

  • Lemon sponge – filled with Lemon buttercream & lemon curd

  • Rich chocolate sponge – filled with chocolate buttercream

  • Espresso coffee sponge –filled with coffee buttercream

  • Carrot cake – filled with mascarpone buttercream

  • Red Velvet – filled with vanilla bean buttercream

  • Rich fruit cake – family recipe moist & packed with vine fruits, cherries  & brandy

  • ‘Naked’ cakes and chocolate curl cakes are also available

At Quex park we are perfectly placed to host a party with our function room overlooking the patios and gardens as well as a licensed bar within the room. Our team of experienced event co-ordinators will help you host your event whatever the occasion:

Family Celebrations

For an afternoon party such as a christening or an anniversary luncheon our dining room is available to hire for private use and our in house catering team can offer anything from a luxury buffet or carvery to a formal dinner, our room hire fee depends on how long you require the room for. The function room at Quex Park is a spacious room with plenty of natural light and offers flexibility for seating of up to 120 delegate’s theatre style and can also be organised with cabaret style seating suitable for conferencing or any other events your company wishes to stage.

The gardens at Quex provide a beautiful and peaceful backdrop for any corporate function as well as a perfect space for a corporate marquee event. Outdoor patio seating offers the opportunity to enjoy the garden and relax during the breaks.

Quex Park also has the contacts to be able to offer many exciting options for a corporate day out or team building activities. These can include tours of the Powell-Cotton Museum, archaeology, archery, paintballing, garden games and crafts to name a few.

Quex Park Function Room can offer light lunch buffets, canapé luncheons, breakfast options, 2 course lunch buffets, hog roasts and bespoke menus.
